Our Impact

Everyday we are fighting to decrease food insecurity and increase food safety. We support over 35 food pantries, low-income senior housing and community programs. Our work gives families, individuals and seniors access to fresh food and foods free of the top eight allergens.

People who struggle to afford groceries are not immune to food allergies and health conditions. The cycle of government assistance does not always meet the food needs for those individuals. Our food bank helps fill in the gaps to provide healthy, safe food for all.

Food Allergy Facts and Figures

  • 32 million people in America have food allergies (FARE)

  • 1 in 133 people in America suffer from Celiac Disease (Beyond Celiac)

  • It is estimated that 83% of Americans with Celiac Disease are undiagnosed. (Beyond Celiac)

  • Type 1 Diabetes affects 3 million people in the United States, 6% of those also have Celiac Disease. (University of Chicago Medicine)

  • According to the CDC 9% of the United States population has diabetes.

  • Heart disease is the number 1 killer in the US and according to the CDC almost 12% of the US population are diagnosed with heart disease.
